Fished from 3-8 PM with my old friend jared and his 14 year old son.
Big storm came thru around 1-2. Water level was 594.3, pulling about 90,000 after heavy Alberto rains earlier in week. Cloudy initially but got sunny and warm. Little wind. Water temp was 78 ( was 85 a week or so ago)
Caught 10, 5 were keepers, biggest about 3.6, all on plum 10" worm on a 1/4 oz head...off a boat ramp, bridge corner, upstream side of main lake humps, and another secondary hump I fish a lot. All about 6-10 feet deep. Tried a DT 10 shad color in a couple of those same areas, no bites.
Nice to have a day where the fish show where you think they should be
The fish Stories. Talk about the way you caught them and lures used. Lure pics are very nice if you used something off the wall.

Fished from 4-8:30 pm, water level 594.75 and about 85 degrees, pulling 37,000, all stable over the last few days. Typical summer weather. Caught one very skinny 3 1/2 pounder off a nearby dock, on a Money Craw, caught a 12" on a plum ribbon tail off a grassland on the bank in Polecat. One about the same on the worm off a bridge corner. Caught 2 small keepers pitching a jig to some grass points on humps. Caught another small one on a magnum shaky head green pumpkin worm, on a main lake hump rough patch, then a huge school of whites surfaced and caught about 20 in the next 30 minutes on a spoon and a tailspin. All were good thick fish.
