The fish Stories. Talk about the way you caught them and lures used. Lure pics are very nice if you used something off the wall.

Fished from 2:30- 7:30 PM. Water level 594.1 and dropping 4 inches since the night before. Water temp 62-67.
Temp up to almost 80, but a brisk wind 10-15 mph from the S made it tough to think about fishing any T rigs or soft plastics.

Fished a hump and a pocket close to the Yacht Club, with crank, buzz and chatter bait ( GP) and spinnerbait. Had one bite in the very back end by a clump of emergent vegetation.

Moved to the Alred's area. Finally caught a 10" and a 14" on back to back casts on a buzzed spinnerbait right close to a wind protected bank, about 6 pm.

Moved to another island farther south of theres, caught a nice crappie, had another swirl and then caught a 3.4 oz bass, all on a Model 6a cranked off the edge of a grassy corner.

Fished from 3-7:30...water up to 595.0 but temp down to 58-62. And still windy, 10-20 mph from the south. Heavy rains and cold front two days before, with frost this AM!

Very tough day, only one bite until late , over a main lake grassy point I usually fish, hooked and lost one about 2 1/2 pounds on a royal shad RedEye. Fished a lot of humps and points where the wind would let me fish, and of course T rigs were out with this much wind.

As is typical when the bass hit the beds, I lose them...

Water level 595.1, up 6 inches in the last 48 hours, water temp up to 62-64, did find one pocket at 67. Not quite as windy today, temp up to 70, partly cloudy.
Only caught 1 catfish and one white bass, both on a BD6 cranked over two different humps. Mostly fished my post spawn places, with no bass. Hit a few shallow banks with a GP lizard , swim jig, spinnerbait, jerk bait, no bites.
One friend said they caught quite a few fishing in dirt shallow water with GP Brush Hogs, and a guide friend said they had a big day on a variety of baits...both guys were fishing mid lake areas...
