looking for some pointers

Postby tkbassn5 » Sat May 03, 2014 12:59 pm

Hey guys im coming down in three weeks and was wanting some advice on what might be going on at this time. Possibly what area of the lake may be productive or any info at all would be great. I've only been down to the lake in the fall, never this time of year. Its me and a buddy "who has never been to the Big G" just coming down for a few days of fun fishing. Its hands down my favorite lake to fish in the south and hoping I can show him just how awesome it is!!!! I tried posting on here once and I never seen it so if another post from me comes up I apologize!!

The grass will be up good by then. I would guess to find the new grass and fish right in front of it. You should be able to find the new grass easily by then most anywhere on the whole lake. Oh yea, welcome to the site. Barry

Hey thanks for the info!! I figured we would stay some what shallow throwing a swim bait, spinner bait, and some topwater. I just hate to waste a bunch of time trying to figure something out fishing deep. Thanks again!!

Welcome to FLG!

A good pattern for numbers for me is to fish point drop offs in 7-12 foot with a Carolina rig, key is to cover lots of water and several points. each pocket and sloe has several points. Study your map as time gets closer, it helps

These may help too
